The trumpeter swan (Cygnus buccinator) is the world's largest waterfowl. While still somewhat rare throughout
the Great Lakes region, trumpeter swans are making a comeback in places like Barry County in Southwest Michigan.
This trumpeter was photographed in March 2007 near Barry State Game Area.
