Trumpeter swans (Cygnus buccinator) are the world's largest waterfowl. While still
somewhat rare throughout the Great Lakes region, trumpeter swans are generally making a comeback.
This pair of courting trumpeters was photographed in March 2007 (on a frozen lake) near Barry State Game Area,
Michigan.
