Black Bear LodgeIn the Heart of the Adirondacks
WINTER SPRING SUMMER AUTUMN HOME PAGE
Autumn finds the northern Adirondack Mountains showing off an awesome full spectrum of colors. Crimson red maples, red-orange sugar maples and oaks, and yellow aspen contrasting vividly with the dark green conifers.

Ever see a bald eagle up close? You probably will if you visit our lodge in late autumn. Bald eagles migrating from Canada routinely stop at Mohawk Lake to fish for large trout.

Fewer people visit the Adirondacks during autumn, but the Park is just as beautiful as in other months. If you want to see few people and not have to bother too much with insect pests, late fall is the time to visit the region. Call just several weeks ahead to reserve a room(s) in our huge, spacious main lodge (Black Bear Lodge) or any of the two slightly smaller log cabins (Mohawk and Oneida).
