The northern Adironack Mountains are truly majestic in spring. Our brooks and streams are teaming with brook trout and brown trout. Canada geese, blue herons, mallards, mergansers, and and a multitude of other bird species nest near the lakes and rivers. White tail deer forage in the meadows surrounding our main lodge (Black Bear Lodge) and two large log cabins (Mohawk Cabin and Oneida Cabin). Occasionally, a black bear and cubs will amble through our private lands, on their foraging expeditions through the Park.
Springtime here is perfect for numerous popular recreational activities. Serious fly fishermen enjoy stalking the wild trout of Cascade Creek and Stanton Creek. Cascade Creek offers a diverse array of spring whitewater for kayakers of every skill level. Mohawk Lake (our private lake) contains plenty of trout and is perfect for viewing wildlife from a slowly moving canoe. | Mohawk Cabin |
